The Karachi clean-up campaign will begin Sunday and will continue for two weeks. More than 15 private companies, celebrities and nearly 5,000 volunteers have announced their support for the campaign by the appeal of Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs.

According to details, singer Ali Zafar, Shehzad Roy and cricket player Wahab Riyaz have also joined the clean-cut Karachi campaign.

Minister of Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has promised to clear Karachi in just two weeks.

Ali Zaidi said he had promoted the Karachi clean-up campaign and that several organizations would collaborate.

The minister said they would eliminate garbage from six neighborhoods in the city.

The Karachi-based PTI leadership said the 13 big Nullahs full of garbage and dirt would be eliminated. In the second phase, they will collect garbage from all parts of the city.

The people of Karachi and the federal government would clean the city.

In addition, other celebrities such as the famous playwright Anwar Maqsood and the Pakistani music group Strings also announced their support for the campaign, asking residents to support the minister for a pure Karachi.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karachi, the Trade and Industry Association of Korangi, the Federal Association of Trade and Industry of Sector B and other professional associations also provided support.
